ASSESSMENT AREA

The Equitable Savings and Loan Company, Cadiz, Ohio, for purposes of lending under this act delineates our local community as the County of Harrison, in the State of Ohio. A map of Harrison County is in the Community Reinvestment Act public file and is available to the public.

It has been the policy of this institution to make real estate loans throughout our local community.

We maintain consistent contact with real estate agents and developers in order to help determine the credit needs of our local community. We are a member of the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Cadiz Business Association. Our directors and employees are active in local organizations such as the Area 16 Workforce Investment Board, Harrison Community Hospital Board, Rotary, Lions Club, Clark Gable Foundation, Adena Heritage Days Committee, American Cancer Society, etc. We cooperate to the best of our ability with community groups, local government, and housing development agencies. This institution supports the Metro Housing Authority in their efforts to obtain housing for the elderly.

This institution does not discriminate on a precluded basis. We have trained our employees and have prepared loan underwriting standards to this effect.

The Equitable Savings and Loan Company has one office and no branch facilities. This institution is located at 114 South Main Street, Cadiz, Ohio and is available to the public Monday through Saturday, for a total of 38 hours per week. The office hours are Monday through Friday – 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday – 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT ACT NOTICE

Under the federal Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) evaluates our record of helping to meet the credit needs of the community consistent with safe and sound operations. The FDIC also takes this record into account when deciding on certain applications submitted by us.

Your involvement is encouraged.

You are entitled to certain information about our operations and our performance under the CRA, including, for example, information about our branches, such as their location and services provided at them; the public section of our most recent CRA Performance Evaluation, prepared by the FDIC; and comments received from the public relating to our performance in helping to meet community credit needs, as well as our responses to those comments. You may review this information any time during regular business hours at our office.

At least 30 days before the beginning of each quarter, the FDIC publishes a nationwide list of the banks that are scheduled for CRA examination in that quarter. This list is available from the Regional Manager, Division of Supervision and Consumer Protection (DSC), FDIC Chicago Regional Office, Suite 1700, 300 South Riverside Plaza, Chicago, IL 60606.
